Waltham 16 size, 21 Jewels / 7 Adjustments

Rare American pocket watch from Waltham Watch Company, made in 1948 according to the movement serial number.

The 16 size movement, caliber 16-A runs with a strong amplitude and perfectly centered balance and hairspring. The movement ovarall condition is almost as new! Fully jewelled with 21 jewels and adjusted in 7 positions makes the 16-A the highest grade caliber offered by Waltham at the time. Stem winding and lever set.

Printed dial on metal base with some minor marks, blued steel hands original to the watch.

3-piece Keystone case with screwed back and bezel. 10K rolled gold plated in good overall condition with a small dent on the caseback (impossible to picture). A NOS low dome mineral crystal fitted in our workshop. Case diameter: 49 mm.
