The successor of the cal 560 and the first Omega caliber with 28.800 A/h. Introduced in 1968 and mainly used in Constellation (cal: 1001), Seamaster 600 and DeVille (cal: 1002). The 1000 series caliber was short lived, production ended already in 1972 after only 4 years of production. Total production 370.000 pcs. The movement basic design lived on with the caliber 1010 from 1972 but the cal 1000 shares only a few parts with the 1010.
