Longines caliber 430 was launched in 1967 after Girard Perregaux introduced a 36.000 A/h movement in 1966 (cal: 31.5). The increased wear and lubrication issues in a 36.000 A/h movement made Longines to redesign these movements to 28.800 A/h versions, launched in 1972.
For parts to the 66XX calibers, see cal: 430.
Movement serial number: 52 072 024 (1972).
