OMEGA'S first serial produced waterproof watch and first wristwatch with sweep second.
Up for sale is a very rare Omega CK2064 Doctors watch in Staybrite steel so called MEDICUS or "NAIAD" after a greek water godess. The three pointed Naiad star was later found on early waterproof Omega watches fron the -50's. All original and in rarely good condition. The watch is ofcourse fully functional and keeps time. Fitted with a new crystal and a NOS leather braceklet, typical for the time and a later NOS Omega clasp in stainless steel.
These watches was made in very low numbers and this example is no: 20 in its batch. Individual numbers can be found on low production watches as Omega Officer and Omega Suverän. Look at the inside of the caseback and on one of the case horns!
Original dial with signs of aging and some loss of top lacquer. Original blued hands with some signs of corrosion.
The stepped Staybrite case is in very good original unpolished condition. Snap caseback signed MOD + DEPOSE/WATERPROOF. Case number: 9 749 745 Original winding crown with some wear. The total case diameter is: 31.5 mm.
The caliber 23.4SC, here in very good working condition without any damages or signs of corrosion. The movement number is: 8 954 823 ( aprox: 1937)
